You have the right idea, the right concept of Lord Death's mask. Although the shape needs to be more rounded other than square. Also you would try a different art program than paint. I recommend GIMP the most, then maybe adobe photoshop. Both are free, so maybe have a look or test it out. Also, I can tell this was done with a mouse. You should save up, or do whatever you want really, and try to get a tablet. Its a drawing pad that basically hooks up to your computer so you can draw. Hope this helps. Keep trying!
